C.D.Nacional

O Clube Desportivo Nacional é um clube português, fundado na ilha da Madeira a 8 de Dezembro de 1910. É muitas vezes referido como Nacional da Madeira ou simplesmente Nacional. A principal modalidade do Nacional é o futebol contando com várias participações na Primeira Liga, a principal divisão portuguesa. É um clube que tem vindo a ganhar preponderância. Foi o único clube da Madeira a participar numa fase de grupos da Liga Europa, depois de eliminar o Zenit de São Petersburgo que era na altura clube detentor da Supertaça Europeia ganha ao Machester United. Foi semifinalista na Taça de Portugal de 2009/2010 e 2011/2012. Atingiu por duas vezes o 4.º lugar da Liga, numa delas com o melhor marcador de Portugal. Teve vários jogadores presentes em campeonatos mundiais de Futebol. No prestigiado ranking da UEFA é o 5.º melhor clube português.

The National Sporting Club is a Portuguese club, founded on the island of Madeira on December 8, 1910. It is often referred to as the National Wood or simply National.
