Geocache Description:

This is number 1 and a rather naughty one to find of a short 2 mile walk with 9 caches mostly home made disguised fun ones. The clue for each cache is in its (Song) title some of which may a bit cringe worthy but people just don’t write songs with the right words in the titles.
Numbers 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 can be done as a cache and dash

Suggested Parking at the church N53 00.877 W 000 22.375

Each cache can be done individually or as a circular walk. Suggested parking is at a car park to the side of St Mary’s Church dating from the 13 century. Near the porch is a row of unusual (and rare) horizontal gravestones with ornate carvings, these are listed monuments.

The walk takes you out of the car park heading downhill to cross the footbridge at the Old River Slea ford (there is a path cutting through a field to the bridge on your right to stop the feet getting wet ) after crossing the bridge walk along the side of a field before joining the 'Navigation' at Holdingham Mill. Walk along the riverbank to the road just beyond Papermill Lock where you need to turn right and follow the road into Evedon. Bear right at the first junction and where the road has a sharp left bend carry straight on , passing the water tower built in 1915 and converted into an unusual private home in the 1980s.and the Manor House to reach the Church.
