On Friday May 4, 2012, a couple of days before this cache was hidden, the last penny was minted in Canada. Personally, I won't miss them at all, but you have to admit that the lowliest of coins has made the biggest impact on the language.
Sure, we've got "stop on a dime" and Yogi Berra's "A nickel ain't worth a dime any more", but that's nothing compared to the sayings we have about pennies: cost a pretty penny; penny-wise and pound-foolish; a penny saved is a penny earned; penniless and, of course, a penny for your thoughts.
The trails at the junction near the cache lead north and east to more caches in each direction, and south to, well, I don't quite know where yet, and that's the fun of it. Take your pick: there's more than a penny's worth of Ministik adventure waiting for you in any direction!
