Geocache Description:


Known to every Algonquin tribe, Europeans called it the Rose Moon… A partial eclipse of the moon will be visible…while those in the western United States and western Canada see it at, or just before, moonset (www.space.com).

Also because the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes each year during the month of June . . . so the full Moon that occurs during that month was christened for the strawberry! (visit link)

What: Hiking under the Full Strawberry Moon

When: Monday, June 4, 2012 at 6:00 PM

Where:At the coordinates. This will be a barbecue and a pot luck! Please bring a dish of some kind. I am going to have hotdogs with chips. If anyone want to help with the hotdogs and buns, that will be greatly appreciated!

Why: Because a full moon rising (happens at 9:29 pm), is amazing to watch.

How: Sit down and eat some food. Bring the family.
