World Wide Flash Mob 9
A Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse.
This event is part of the World Wide Flash Mob IX occurring simultaneously around the globe, organized by Team PodCacher.

You've heard of geocaching mega-events? This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways. It is sort of like a micro event, but with many of these events occurring world-wide all at the same time. Come be part of this historic event! Only 15 minutes long! You MUST be present and sign the log sheet DURING this time to claim the event. Please BYOP! The "2" difficulty is for the fact that the limited time will make it tough to log if you aren't prompt!
This Flash Mob's theme: Back to the 80's
Come dressed in 80's style or in costume as your favorite 80's character! There will even be a 1981 DeLorean on hand! Bring Geocaching banners, posters, and your GPS to hold up and wave!
In order to simultaneously coincide with all the other Flash Mobs around the world, this event must begin precisely at 12:00 NOON Central Daylight Time on Saturday, June 9th, 2012. At exactly 12:00 NOON (DO NOT show up early at GZ), rush to the posted coordinates in the southwest corner of the Sunset Plaza parking lot with your banners, signs, and GPS receivers held up high! Make sure you sign the log, then gather around the DeLorean for a group picture. In case of inclement weather, the DeLorean will not be on hand as it will melt in the rain (of course it will not really melt, the owner just doesn't want it getting all dirty and stuff).
At precisely 12:15 PM, disperse! The event will officially be over. Hide your banners, etc. and quickly leave the area.

Will there be a Geocaching Profile Souvenir this year? I asked Sonny of Team PodCacher this question at MOGA 2012. He said it was in the works, but nothing confirmed yet. I will send out an announcement if/when this changes.
Update 5-21-12: It has been confirmed that there WILL be a Geocaching Profile Souvenir this year. You must log your "Attended" within 2 days of the event to qualify.
