Geocache Description:

This geocache was placed in a place that will teach a bit of history of the Manassas area. Not all the battles were fought at the Manassas Battlefield or Bull Run.

This location was the Battle of Kettle Run and on August 27, 1862 two of Confederate Gen. Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson's divisions plundered the Federal supply depot at Manassas Junction. You can read all about it on the marker at the parking area.

This is an official geocache lock top container. The name of this cache comes from the thorns located around the cache placement so be careful. After reading the Battle of Kettle Run plaque and when the coast is finally clear drop down into the woods and have a wonder around. This seems to be a high muggle area during the normal rush hours for NoVa.

Thanks for BristowCacher for being the FTF!! The coin is back in the cache because this FTF coin has a mission along with it. Please be sure if you take the FTF coin that you start your own cache to pass the token on so he can the FTF for as many cachers as possible.
