Geocache Description:

This cache is to mark the gridline confluence of South 45 00.000 and East 170 00.000 degrees (WGS84) - resulting in eleven zeroes.
Geocachers all love this sort of thing!!

However, the actual grid confluence as well as the cachebox is on private property, and this cache site is as near as you will usually be allowed to go - hence the subtitle "So Near, Yet So Far". The cache is placed with the land-owners permission. Please respect this property.

The actual grid confluence is about 200m out into the paddock, southeast of the cache location. You may look, but don't go there. This is sometimes a BULL paddock - if you were seen by the BULL, you could expect to get charged.

There is a private road leading from the main road up to a microwave tower on the hills to the northeast, and you may drive up this road to the cache site. Go through the gate at S45 00.371 E 169 59.296 and turn left onto this road. Please shut all gates that were shut when you found them. Be aware of any stock on the road. If gates are locked, you will have to walk to the cache site.

The cache is a 400ml black snaplock, with snaplock bags for the logbook, pencil, etc. Please replace the cachebox upright, and report any problems in your log.

However, the landowner has suggested that if you rang his mobile (Greg, Mob: 021-390-458 ), you might be granted permission to visit the actual grid confluence, but that would depend on stock present at the time. Please respect this concession - if you were seen going there without permission, we may have to archive the cache!!
