Delphi Lodge built in the 1820’s as a hunting lodge for the Marquis of Sligo. He called it Delphi after declaring the area to be as beautiful as Delphi in Greece having spent some time there with Lord Byron the poet living the good life. I suppose the man had good taste. Mweelrea, the highest mountain in Connaught is in front of you to the west and behind you Ben Creggan and Ben Ghorm.
