This challenge cache is all about encouraging and rewarding travel to far off, and not so far off, lands to find geocaches and have fun experiences doing so. The object is to find caches at a variety of different distances from home.
You won't need a spreadsheet to work this one out, and you won't need to do any hard core planning, as there is a convenient graph on your statistics page in your profile that will show you whether or not you have completed this challenge.

All you need to do in order to qualify for this challenge cache is:
1. Find and log at least 100 caches in each of 7 different distance-from-home-coordinates categories (you choose from the list), which are:
- Less than 1km
- 1 km to 10 km
- 10 km to 25 km
- 25 km to 50 km
- 50 km to 100 km
- 100 km to 250 km
- 250 km to 500 km
- 500 km to 1000 km
- 1000 km to 2500 km
- 2500 km to 5000 km
- 5000 km to 7500 km
- Greater than 7500km
2. Find and log at least 10 caches per category in at least 3 categories above 250km from home. Note that if you have found over 100 in 3 categories above 250km from home, then you have also met this requirement.
3. If it is impossible for you to complete requirement number 2 within New Zealand, and you have no cache finds at all further than 1000km, then you will be exempt from requirement number 2 if you have found at least 500 caches total across all distance categories above 250km combined. This is considered to be an "out clause" only for those whose home coordinates are somewhere in New Zealand from where it is impossible to find caches within New Zealand over 1000km away (eg. Wellington/Nelson) and who have never geocached overseas.
One of the primary objectives of this cache is to add a little more fun to your geocaching experience. As with most things in life, if you're not having fun then you're probably not doing it right. That said, if this challenge is not your cup of tea then please do feel free to ignore it - no offence is intended or will be taken.
All geocache finds, worldwide, contribute to your qualifying cache finds for this challenge, including all caches you have found and logged in the past.
The only exclusions for this challenge cache are "Geocaching Challenges" (not to be confused with challenge caches like this one) whether they are taking a photo, performing an action or whatever. They don't appear in your geocache statistics anyway.
It is not mandatory to post a note when you qualify for this challenge, but along with your find log, or a previous note if you so choose, you must supply evidence that you have completed the challenge, in the form of a snaphot or screen capture of the "Distance to Finds" chart on your profile page (see below for an example).
The difficulty and terrain ratings of this cache reflect somewhat the challenge as a whole, but the true difficulty and terrain of the final cache would be more like 1.5/1.5. The final cache is located adjacent to a road, so please be as careful as you normally would in such a location.
