Geocache Description:

I often wonder why those bison tubes we use in geocache hides are called "bisons". When I think of a bison, I think of a buffalo. So, what?!?...do they store buffalo bait in bison tubes? Do they wave the bison tubes in front of the bison in a tantalizing, teasing manner as does a toreador?

Then, today, I found an obscure internet reference to mutated bison living in a remote part of Alaska that have developed the ability to breath for extended periods of time underwater. This, to me, can be stretched to provide the missing link. Perhaps they DO store bison bait in bison tubes and then drop them down holes cut into the ice shelves....! I figured, yeah, well, that's good for some remote Alaskan tribe, but what good is that to a Floridian?

Until today, when I discovered this GORGEOUS bison swimming in Miami! Perhaps you can coax him to say hello? Be careful not to destroy the only link we have to him, lest this very rare (and very far away from home) critter be lost forever!
