"Hi! I'm Sally the salamander! I'm South Carolina's state amphibian. I was touring down town Columbia, and I got lost! I need your help! I took pictures of all the places I visited before I lost my way, and I need you to follow the pictures to come find me!!"
There are 10 small salamander statues hidden throughout downtown. This is a multi-cache that will take you on a short walking tour of Main Street, and take you to 5 of them. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to complete the walk. For more information about Sally the salamander, and for the locations of the other 5, check the related link.
Sally needs your help, here's what you need to do:
The listed coordinates are where you will start, there are metered parking spots a few feet from these coordinates, as well as all along Main Street. Park here and go to the posted coordinates. Once there, you will look for what you see in picture number 1. Once you have found it, you will start walking north along Main Street looking for picture number 2, then 3 and so on. If you pay attention at each picture location, you will see Sally on her tour at some of them! You will stay on the same side of the street until picture number 9. After picture 9, if you look across the street, you will see picture 10, and you should cross to get to it. Once you arrive at picture number 12, you are looking for a matchstick container with the coordinates to the final. Once you have them, head back to your car and drive to the final, which is about 2 miles away.
