A few years ago, on one seemingly unremarkable day, I was out enjoying a lap around Narrabeen Lake. Shortly after crossing the weir, I spotted a most unusual looking individual sitting on a stool, fishing rod in hand. Upon aproaching closer I heard him chuckling and muttering to himself, as he cast his line into the murky water. I stopped entranced, unable to walk away. Gradually the light dimmed as a singular cloud crossed the path of the sun. The rod bent suddenly and fiercely, the line surely well past its breaking point. The man simply stood, gave me a wink, and pulled on the rod with a strength defying his build. Out of the water flew a most amazing fish, like none I had ever seen before. As the cloud passed, and the light returned, the fish (if it was a fish) shimmered and glittered. The fisherman caught the fish and promptly vanished, leaving behind the stool and the rod.
After questioning my sanity from this most surprising vision, I felt strangely compelled to pick up the rod. With some trepidation, I cast the line, trying to mimic the action of the old man. Almostly instantly I felt a significant pull, and too felt a most amazing strength course through my body. I flicked my fish into the air and caught it before it landed. Unsure what to do next, I turned around after hearing a gasp. Luckily, for without it no-one would have believed this story, a women had approached, and despite being as stunned as I was, she still retained enough wits to immortilise the moment on film .....
Unfortunately both the stool and the rod have disappeared since, but I still hear the occassional rumour of people catching unexpected items in the vicinity.
On a more mundane note, take care when extracting the cache. And to avoid the beasts lurking in the water, the cache is located a safe distance away.
