A cache placed near one of our favourite mooring spots on the Coventry Canal.
Mr GB is my bestest buddy and geobuddy and whilst moored here recently it was his idea to place this cache.
The cache is located at a bridge on the Coventry Canal near the bottom of the Atherstone flight of 11 locks. This particular stretch is between locks 9 and 10 and is some distance from nearby roads. The bridge is very attractive but doesn't appear to go anywhere nor come from anywhere.
Each end of the bridge is blocked off so is inaccessible. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS THE BRIDGE - IT HAS NO FLOOR.
You are looking for a 2cm x 8cm camo-tape covered tubular container containing just a log, so please bring your own writing implement. There used to be a series of 5 caches along the locks but now only 2 remain, so if you take a walk up or down the locks you could take in these two also - GC1T6GT and GC1T6H0. Can also be done as a drift and grab if cruising by boat.
Please take care with little ones and geohounds near the water.
We hope you enjoy looking for the cache and we look forward to reading your logs. HAPPY HUNTING!
