This is one of a series of caches to celebrate the Great Western Railway, affectionately known as 'God's Wonderful Railway'. This is your chance to release your inner 'anorak' and go trainspotting, feel free to wear that 'Parka' that's been hanging in the wardrobe for decades!
In the Far East you have the famous 'Bridge over the river Kwai' built by World War II servicemen, but down here in sleepy Devon we have an alternative version in 'Bridge over the river Hems' built by navvies and put in place in the 1930's. This is on the fairly busy London to Penzance mainline so I would be very surprised if you don't 'spot' any trains at all.
Take in the Devon fresh air, see what you can spot on the river, when placing we watched a Cormorant busy fishing and also a Treecreeper happily bouncing up a tree.
There maybe livestock present so DOGS ON LEADS please if there are.
NO SPOILER PHOTOS OF THIS CACHE PLEASE
PLEASE Initials only on log, thanks.
