WELCOME TO THE CENTRAL HARDWOODS SCENIC TRAIL at ENGLISH HILL near Highway US68/KY80. You will be looking for a clear bottle container with a red cap. It contains log book and pen.
This is the western extension of Land Between the Lakes' Central Hardwoods Scenic (formerly Greenway) Trail. This portion of the trail is compacted gravel/roadbed which makes a smooth walking/biking path. This path also follows the contours of the terrain more than the flat eastern portion. To the east the trail continues for 2.0 mile to the Golden Pond Visitor Center, then more than 3 miles to reconnect with the paved portion of the CHS Trail. To the west, the trail meanders another 2.0 through upland mixed hardwood forest on its way to Fenton campground.
Parking is available near the trailhead at English Hill, Golden Pond Visitor Center or the Fenton Campground.
