Sometimes it seems hard to find a quiet space to think or just to have a really good conversation with a friend. Little parks and places out of the way are seemingly few and far between. These are the quiet places I have found alone, or with friends.
This is the first in what I hope to be a series of caches, easily accessible, and in walking distance of downtown State College and Penn State University. Little Lion Man is a song that my friend, Evan, used to play. The first time I found this park was with him, and we had a good conversation on the swings.
Some important advice I received on that day: Every day, ask yourself if you're happy. If you are, ask yourself if whatever happened that day made you genuinely happy, or if you're happy, because you want to be happy. Try to live your life in a way that makes you genuinely happy, so you don't have to try at happiness all the time.
If driving, please do not park at the Quaker Meetinghouse off of E. Prospect Avenue. Instead, try taking Foster Ave. and park near High Street. There is 2 hour parking available along one side of the street, between 6am and 6pm (look for the signs). Alternatively, you can use the metered parking along College Ave., and walk up the hill, along High Street.
This park/playground has been empty almost every time I've been there, but if there are children around, try not to be creepy.
Congratulations to JBT on First to Find!
