altitude 7,305 Because our GPS gadgets don't work accurately in the forest, this cache (4 x 18" camo'd tube) is "hidden" in plain sight, about eye level in a clump of trees about 100' NE of the best view location. Opens by unscrewing bottom, please leave tube in place & replace jars upside down for easier removal by next visitors.
This spot has been a favorite destination for short sunset x-c breaks since we moved here in 1972. Great peaceful & beautiful spot for contemplation/meditation. When placed, contained log, 2 pencils, Owl Travel Bug #R2PTX9, Ron Paul superbrochure, Ron Paul 2008 pin, $1 million bill, pompom, cork, crystal sphere, 2 golf balls, Canada pewter medallion, MBT brochure, shell, bungee, NOTE: Please do not leave food or scented stuff in Sierra geocaches. Raccoons, bears & other residents tend to rip stuff apart if it smells like possible food.
