This is the site of the Hopetoun West Baptist Church which was open from 1906 until 1965.
There isn't a lot of information regarding this church, but it is an interesting site to visit and was one of many in the area.
If you do venture inside, be careful of the floor boards as they are rotting, but you will see the original baptism pool at the far end of the church and the pressed tin ceiling would have been impressive in its day.
The cache itself is a small sistema container with a log book & pencils.
Much thanks to our Cousin Wal & his dog Gromit for maintaining the cache between visits to the area.
