Geocache Description:

Cache is an unusual micro on an SSSI heathland. Bring a pen to sign the log.

This is my first cache and is on Canford Heath. On a clear day you can get superb views across Poole and even see Corfe Castle. As stated this heathland is a SSSI so you may see lizards, snakes and other interesting heath wildlife.

You will not need to stray into any gorse or heather so please take care when looking for the cache. Please respect the heathland when hunting for this cache.

This cache overlooks part of the site of huge fire that struck Canford Heath in 2006 that burnt about 100 hectares. Over the past 6 years the heath has started to recover but there are still many years to go.

Cache is not wheel chair accessible due to steep steps and sandy trails. Good luck.

Place with kind permission from Poole Greenspace team.

Congratulations to Rosekate on the FTF.
