Three Corner Copse, a nice little walk from top to bottom of Goldstone Valley.
Access points from Goldstone Crescent, Dyke Road, Woodland Avenue and Woodland Drive. There is a field of sorts at the top but most of the path is narrow, wooded, rooty path. A buggy would be a challenge. So would a bike for most people. Might be nice for a picnic but watch out for canine residue - I wish people would pick up.
Waypoints are the lower access points to the area, with Path1 being suggested parking. The 81 and 14c buses go past the bottom of the copse, get off at the first stop immediately after the roundabout at Path3. The more frequent 5b stops at the dog track, 5 minutes walk from Path3.
The paths get busy with the surface allowing muggles to sneak up on you.
The cache container is a 35 mm film canister with a log and small pencil. Ivy doesn't figure, you'll no doubt be delighted to hear, at least, not completely. It is hidden a few steps off the path. Although I placed this with my iPhone, the coordinates are good to within 16 feet and have been double-checked with both google maps and averaging, and then rechecked by being measured from path markers and replotted. Trees therefore are not an issue!
Happy hunting!
