The cache is hanging in a Big Pod Ceanothus that might resemble a Bonsai created by Nature. The location is on Rogers Road and reachable from the trail corridor. Bring a writing instrument.
Today was the last day of the SMMTC Backbone Trek. I was driving a support vehicle and while the Trekkers were hiking east, I came up from Will Rogers State Historic Park. My goal was to find the cache named Yucca Yucca Yucca Yucca. After finding the cache and joining cachers Lets Fly and SoCalifSue, who were in the hiking group, headed back to Will Rogers. We found a nice cache vacant spot on the way for this cache.
This Megacarpus Ceanothus from which it is hanging has a main trunk. The cache is attached to a very small branch from the trunk about 4 feet off the ground and hangs behind the trunk about a foot lower. The cache is a cammoed small bison.
