Poppies On Parade: Peterborough City Centre Multi-Cache
Beach_hut: We're going to re-locate this to a significantly different location. As it's in effect no longer the same hide, we'll archive and relist this.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to look for this in its present form, hopefully you'll enjoy looking for this in its new form!

Poppies On Parade: Peterborough City Centre
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A nano cache placed in honour of our fallen veterans in two world wars and many other conflicts, placed to coincide with the WWFM IX Flash Mob event in Peterborough in June 2012.
The newest focal point of Peterborough City Centre is a four-metre tall stone obelisk designed by Yaxley Architect Peter Slinger.
The co-ordinates at the top of this page are not for the cache but for the memorial itself. The cache is a nano hidden within a short distance of the memorial.
In order to find the cache, you need to go to the monument and stand on the south side (with an engraved wreath facing you directly) There is a chain-linked fence protecting the monument. Count the number of chain links, (excluding the smaller links at either end) between the two posts nearest to you, making up one side of a square around the monument. Your answer should be two digits, let's call it AB. I note from early cachers' experiences that it's quite easy to get a slightly different answer (Mr Beach_hut came to GZ to recheck his sums and even he didn't get the same answer each time!) if the answer you come up with is a prime number, count again.
The cache is located at N 52° 34.A0(A-1) W 000° 14.(B-A-1)(B-1)(A+2)
You obviously don't need to cross the fence to accomplish this. Please treat the monument and anyone paying their respects there with due care and respect. In the event that any official events are going on at this location, we suggest you leave this cache for another day.
Major stealth will be required at the final location, again if there are too many muggles around please leave this for another day. We would rather you left this and protected the cache than you risk the cache being muggled.
Please bring your own pen, INITIALS ONLY IN LOG, and please replace exactly as found. TAKE CARE WHEN REPLACING IN HIDING PLACE SO IT'S EASY FOR THE NEXT CACHER TO RETRIEVE. THANKS.
The cache is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs.
