While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Geocache Description:

N: Cachen er en liten plastboks med litt plass til bytteting. Opprinnelig innhold: lekebil, elg nøkkelring, noen utenlandske mynter. Og log i ziplock og blyant, selvsagt.

E: The cache is a small plastic box with some space for smaller items. When put out it contained a toy car, a moose keyring, some small foreign coins, and of course a log (in ziplock bag) and a pencil.

N: Cachen ligger midt i Korsvika, sånn ca der det er aller mest mugglere. Så mugglerfaren er trolig den største utfordringen her. Men vi liker cacher som ligger på fine plasser der man kan slå seg ned og nyte utsikten. Korvika er et fint tursted, egentlig til alle årstider, og ikke minst for unger. Så vi syntes det manglet en barnevennlig cache her, der ungene kan boltre seg med bytting av ymse småtteri. Men den er kanskje ikke helt god å finne for de aller minste... Pass på at cachen ikke får direkte innsyn når den legges tilbake.

Korsvika har fine strender og svaberg; sommerstid kan de sprekeste bade her. Og det er en fin start på Ladestien, mot Østmarkneset, Ringvebukta (Sponhuset), og videre mot Rotvoll. Eller du kan gå rundt Ladehammeren mot byen. På 1000-tallet holdt kong Håkon den Gode til i Korsvika.

E: The cache is placed centrally in Korsvika, roughly at the site of maximal muggler traffic... So avoiding being spotted may be the greater challenge. But we like to place caches in nice locations where one can take a rest and enjoy the view. Korsvika is a nice place to visit year round, not the least with kids. We felt a children-friendly cache was missing in the area - one where the kids can swap small items and have fun. Even if the exact location may not be suitable for the very smallest ones... Make sure the cache is well hidden when you put it back.

Korsvika has nice beaches and rocks; the most sporty may consider a swim in the fjord mid summer. It's the start of the Ladestien trail towards Østmarkneset and Ringvebukta (Sponhuset), and on towards Rotvoll. Or you may walk around Ladehammeren towards the city. In the 10th century, the Norwegian King Håkon the Good resided in Korsvika.
