You may or may not know this but from looking back from the cache site there used to be a carpet factory. The factory was built around the 1820s by Southwell's on the site of the old Franciscan friary. It was demolished in 1988 and replaced by new houses.
To add to the interest of this site there is also a tale of a ghost "Old Mo". The tale goes "A Mrs Street, left late one night as the last person in the building, encountered a figure as she passed through the old part of the factory. It was the ghost of a monk, “Old Mo”. Dressed head to foot in a white habit, he silently approached her up the basement steps, but on reaching the top turned and descended again." Has the new housing disturbed the ghost since he has laid at rest while the factory has been closed??
As for the cache is quite small and contains a log only so you will need pencil/pan to sign the log. Please take when around the cache site. Also if you see two people on the balcony opposite the cache site give them a wave, their quite friendly.
