Geocache Description:

This should be an easy short walk . Parking next door or along the road.

The cache is a smaller tupperware, includes pad, pencil and a small Canada pin. The property is an old homestead vacated a few years ago and since then, the town has purchased it. The house you see is called the Judah Doan house built in 1850's. The Doans emigrated from Pennsylvania in 1808. Judah Doan was a master craftsman. Before the brick house was built there was a log home on the "treed foundation"It may seem like a private residence but it's all on town public property. The house is m,t. There was an old barn recently removed because of safety but the old silo still stands.
