Geocache Description:

This cache is located along a section of trail that Clarion Chapter built in the Spring of 2011. Since that time, Clarion Chapter President Ed Scurry has build about 60 flower beds along this section of trail using fallen logs. The Gardener's Club of Clarion and other Gardeners in the area have been planting annuals that they thin out of their gardens in these flower beds. In a few years this will be a very unique section of trail thanks to the community effort.

Parking available at N 41° 14.078 W 079° 24.175.

This cache is part of the Clarion North Country Trail GeoTrail (CNCTGT).

This geotrail consists of 20 geocaches hidden along the portion of the North Country National Scenic Trail that was built and is maintained by the Clarion Chapter of the North Country Trail Association. The Clarion Chapter also has set up this geotrail to introduce more people to our trail.

Here’s how it works.

Download the geotrail passport here.

The passport has 20 spaces in which to write a keyword that is contained in each geocache. The 20 geocaches in this geotrail are .30 caliber ammo cans. When you open the geocache, the codeword for the geocache will be written on the lid of the ammo can. Record this code word on your passport.

When you have found all 20 of the CNCTGT geocaches and have the corresponding code words written on the passport, if you wish, follow the instructions on the passport to receive a trackable geocoin commemorating the geotrail.

Thank you and we hope you enjoy the geotrail and our section of the North Country National Scenic Trail.
