Le village de Ghisoni domine la vallée du Fium'orbu. C'est aussi un point de passage incontournable reliant le sud ( Bocca di Verde ), le nord ( Bocca à Sorba ) et l'est ( défilé de l'Inzecca ). C'est un point d'entrée dans le territoire de Costa Serena.
Pour accéder à ce petit village, emprunter la D69, en venant d'AJACCIO et de ZICAVO ( côte Ouest ) ou la D344, en venant de GHISONACCIA ( côte Est ).
La construction de la fontaine de Ghisoni est votée au mois de janvier 1866. Les plans sont dressés par l'ingénieur hydraulique de la Corse. Mais les habitants de la commune souhaitent une fontaine plus monumentale et l'ingénieur est prié, en octobre suivant, de présenter une autre esquisse. Le 6 janvier 1867, le nouveau projet fait l'unanimité. Les travaux sont confiés à l'entrepreneur Zanelli et au fontainier Sabatier (celui-là même qui réalise quelques années plus tard les travaux de la fontaine d'Aullène).
La fontaine est achevée en août 1867. Elle sera surmontée d'une imposante statue en fonte représentant Neptune, Dieu des mers et des océans, ainsi que du règne aquatique. Il est habituellement représenté nu, avec une barbe fournie et un trident à la main.
Il faudra chercher la boîte au niveau de l'escalier, entre des pierres du mur.

To access this small village, take the D69, coming from Ajaccio and ZICAVO (West Coast) or the D344, coming from GHISONACCIA (East Coast).
