Geocache Description:

Disguised Micro. Please bring your own pen and tweezers

Often referred to as Jarrold's bridge. Peter's bridge, named after the former chairman Peter Jarrold who first conceived the idea over 20 years ago is a delightful 'J' shaped pedestrian and cyclist bridge links old and new Norwich with it's smooth flowing lines. It was opened in January 2012. The views along the river are stunning and standing at the centre of the 30m span a cool 2.9m above the river it offers a delightfully different vista of the historic city. The long slow approach ramps give this £1.6 million bridge a length of 80m making it easy of use for pedestrians, cyclists and wheelchair uses. As part of the designers, Ramboll's intention there is little disturbance where bridge meets bank and during construction care was taken to insure minimal impact on the fish, birds, bats and other wildlife that call this area home. Constructed in weathered metal and hardwood timber means the bridge mellows into it's surroundings and it's single span gives the impression that it is very organic. Indeed when crossing here the bridge has a slight movement and far from being alarming it seems natural and almost pleasing. Due to the anti-saturation requirements of Geo-caching this cache is a little walk away from the bridge. Please replace where you find it as this cache keeps migrating and getting muggled. Thanks CONGRATULATIONS SUSIEBEAR ON FTF.
