Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden within dried fish. The cache contains nothing more than a log book and a pencil.

There is a long tradition for stockfish production in Iceland. Through centuries fish has been dried outdoors but more recent methods are based on using energy from geothermal water and electricity. Modern indoor production of stockfish is less time consuming and the production will be more uniform throughout the year. In the town of Sauðárkrókur one of few still existing outdoor stockfish processing facilities can be found.

I recommend a visit at evening to this cache when the evening sun fills the sky and when people are not working in the processing. Make sure not to be in the way of workers if you visit during day time.
