La Jungfrauenrast sulla via dei tigli è un popolare luogo commemorativo: una piccola sorgente ed il tronco decomposto di un ciliegio ricordano il luogo esatto in cui secondo la leggenda fecero sosta le tre vergini durante la loro fuga verso Maranza nel tentativo di sfuggire ad Attila, il re degli Unni. L’antica rappresentazione pittorica delle Tre Sante Vergini è stata rimpiazzata da un bassorilievo di Friedrich Gurschler.

Jungfrauenrast (auch „Linde“ genannt) ist eine Gedenkstätte und erinnert an die Stelle, an welcher der Legende nach, die drei Jungfrauen auf ihrer Flucht vor dem Hunnenkönig Attila nach Meransen, gerastet haben sollen. Eine kleine Quelle und der vermoderte Stamm eines Kirschbaumes bezeugen diesen Ort. Die alte malerische Darstellung der heiligen Drei Jungfrauen wurde ersetzt durch ein Flachrelief von Friedrich Gurschler.

The Jungfrauenrast, or Virgins’ Rest (also called “Linden Tree”) is a memorial and reminds of the place where, according to legend, the three virgins are supposed to have rested while fleeing to Meransen from Attila, the king of the Huns.
