A sandwich sized lock and lock on the easy and pretty Ravine Road Trail in the Royal Botanical Gardens.
The Ravine Road Trail is a wide and hard packed gravel trail in the RBG of Hamilton.... almost wheelchair friendly... easily done with a stroller....
The trailheads are the very South West end of Churchill Park, near the Aviary (easiest with free parking), and at the very North end of Ron Joyce Stadium off a gravel parking lot (pay parking at McMaster University).
The cache is 1 meter off the hard pack trail.... you can't miss it....
(various internet maps (including google) show differing routes for this trail.... don't bushwack or leave the trail by more than a meter... you'll know the cache when you see it.)
On Royal Botanical Gardens property, it is mandatory to stay on open trails at all times.... they graciously allow us to place caches on their grounds, provided we follow that simple rule.... There are a number of rare and protected species sprinkled throughout the properties, and they take their mandate seriously.
