Xplore A'dale: Trees of the Field Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Saved by God's grace: After an amazing 7 year (!) run, I’m afraid the time has come for this cache—it tends to be my most problematic for maintenance, and since I’m in the process of moving out of the area...well...yeah. Thanks to everyone whose logs have made this perhaps one of my favorite caches I’ve ever hidden—even with the squirrels with diamond-plate teeth!😁

Geocache Description:

A small canister with screw-on lid--metal this time to hopefully overcome the diamond-toothed squirrels we have around here! Enough room for a very small bit of swag. Please make sure it is back on *tightly*. Should be a fairly easy find for athletes, parents, sports fans, runners, bicyclists, etc. etc. etc...

Xplore A'dale is a series which takes you on an adventure (or several adventures for you technical people out there) through the Floridian City of Auburndale. Enjoy learning about the town's history, visit some of the busiest places in town, and some of the more obscure ones. You might even discover a few of the places that Auburndale just wouldn't be the same without! Also, be sure to watch for the clues to the final unknown/mystery cache!

This cache is hidden in the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex, along the Auburndale TECO Trail, both of which are owned and operated by the City of Auburndale. It has come to my attention that water tends to collect where the cache is placed-consider yourself hereby forewarned! The hint may come in handy in explaining that; I promise it's not in the ditch! (Have you figured out I like emojis? LOL!) Anyhow, Enjoy this "Xploration", and keep on cachin'!
