Now You Can Be A Gangster Too! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

JGram: I thought about and I'm gonna let this one go. I do not believe that it was muggled. I think that it was stolen by another geocacher because of the way it was skillfully removed from the inside of the container(which required the combination to the lock). I have to admit the humor in this one.......Someone may have just taken the cache description too literally! LOL

Geocache Description:

The cache container is an ammo can located outside a restaurant. There is a combination lock. The combination is the street address of the building. Now you can be a gangster too by breaking into the cache and making off with some SWAG!

The cache container is an ammo can located outside a restaurant in downtown Hudson Indiana. The container is secured to the building. There is a combination lock. The combination is the street address of the building. Now you can be a gangster too by breaking into the cache and making off with some SWAG! The SWAG is bank vault/bandit/law enforcement themed.

This building is currently a restaurant, but it used to be a bank. On the afternoon of April 13, 1933, five bandits, believed to be John Dillinger and his gang, robbed what was then the Farmers State Bank in Hudson, Indiana.

The building also has a reputation of being haunted. They had paranormal investigators check the place out. The team did determine that the place was indeed haunted.

Thanks so much to the owners for permission to place a Geocache here! They also had some very good suggestions on how to secure the container. But, Please use stealth to help protect the container from muggles.

It is really neat because someone had remarked about this restaurant in the logs of one of my nearby caches while I was in the process of working out the details on placing this cache.

Every effort is made to make this geocache an enjoyable experience for all. Please assist me with this by logging any DNF's or by e-mailing me if your should have any issues with this geocache. Coordinates were obtained by using data from a DeLorme PN-60 and refining them using satellite imagery. The coords are off a few feet, but do not despair because it is an ammo box in an urban setting.

Congratulations to WeMightBeGiants for FTF!
