Geocache Description:

Interesting situation on the old drove road to Fintry. Access via the Crow Road car park, up the hill to the drove road and turn down it towards Lennoxtown.

NOTE: Please park at the Crow Road car park and DO NOT attempt to access the cache by parking on the main road and jumping the fence - there is no room for parking and it is not safe.

You will not find the old drove road marked on modern maps, although I have seen it on older OS maps 1:25000. To locate the drove road, climb up from the Crow Road car park, past the small brick building, on up to around about 310 metres altitude. You looking for an fairly obvious narrow flat "road" (grassy path) going across the ways, left to right.
Turn right along this path and it should become very obvious you are on the old drove road once you start to descend off the ridge.

Return by outward route, or follow the drove road down to Lennoxtown. Aim for the mobile phone mast, hop over the fence behind it and make your way carefully around the edge of the golf course and down in the town.
