In conjuction with Kansas City Parks & Recreation this month for CITO we travel to Hodge Park / Shoal Creek Living History Museum.
We will begin gathering in the parking lot at 8:00. Between 8:15AM and 8:30 instructions will be given..8:30...GET TO WORK!
Our mission this month is fence removal. In the photo below you should be able to see the fenceline for a pretty good guess of the magnitude of this project. We will not pull any of the old post. KCP&R will return after we have removed the fencing and pull the posts with machines.
Recently Kansas City Parks & Recreation installed some new fencing to keep the buffalo corralled. The new span of fencing is just a few feet back from this span of fencing that we will be removing. If in doubt on which fence to remove "DON'T" or you will meet a very large buffalo most likely.
Before during or after the work you might want to keep the camera very nearby. The buffalo will likely come visit and pose with you for some photos.
Oh yeah another thing, don't feed the buffalo.
This last photo is compliments of bethanizzle. This is one of the buffalo's at the park along with the fence.
