"The Demise of Mr. Geo. Cacher" was A Murder Mystery Geocaching Event ( like the famous board game), that occured on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11am, at Brushy Lake Park outside Sallisaw OK. This is a series of 10 caches. They are numbered 1 through 10 but that is only to enable us to keep track of the cache locations, it has nothing to do with playability...they can be found in any order.
In celebration of the end of another successful school year for the youngest of our group/ team (kdkedwards) we planned a 2 part Murder Mystery Dinner Event. We placed 10 new caches in the area for this event that are now permenant caches for all to find. While the party is now over, the caches and game remain for others to play just for fun and to add 10 more smileys to your numbers! The game is played like the board game; each cache will contain a suspect, a weapon and a place, please keep track of this information from each cache. Cachers will need to visit each of 10 cache locations to mark off the clues/information on their playing cards to discover WHO killed Mr. Geo. Cacher, With WHAT weapon, and WHERE the body was hidden!! Just as in the board game, the name/ place/ weapon NOT found within the 10 caches is the answer to this Who-Dun-It...A .pdf file for the playing card can be found at the link listed on this page. Please note: All FTF's on these 10 caches have been claimed during the event...and please be careful of poison plants and things when searching for these caches as there can be many of both, but we DID try to choose locations that had safe parking.
