We searched high and low trying to find the right spot to place a Travel
Bug Hotel in our local area so that our local cachers along with the traveling could locate this easily. It was very difficut to find a place without having to worry about mugglers. This Travel Bug Hotel is located just off Highway 37; just a quick turn off the main road for an exicting cache!!!
This cache is a 2 tiered tackle box located on private property. The owners are excited to have this on their property SO PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE to get out and find it. It is attached to the right hand side of the building and is in plane sight; visible from the highway.
The tremendous amount of rain we received after putting this cache out has already done a number on the stickers that we put on the outside of this cache; but otherwise the container is well!!!
The owners are relatives of ours and are very friendly so that if you happen to see them please say hello. Parking is accessible on the side of the road or across the street in the vacant parking lot to 2 closed down businesses. Regardless of where you decide to park, be careful of the traffic from the highway!! There are always people pulling in and out of the driveway so we ask that you don't park there.
WE PLEASE ASK THAT YOU RESPECT THE OWNERS AND NOT LOOK FOR THIS CACHE AFTER DARK!!!!
This Travel Bug Hotel IS STACKED WITH 24; YES I MEANT 24 TRAVEL BUGS!!! PLEASE IF YOU CAN; replace a TB if you take one!!! And while you are there, write down the rest for your stats!!! AND OF COURSE DO NOT FORGET TO SIGN THE LOG BOOK!!!!
We got the idea for this Travel Bug Hotel after finding Ace Cooper's Travel Bug Hotel just outside of Watertown, NY; which happens to be one of our most favorite finds!!!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST; PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT BOTH COMPARTMENTS ARE COMPLETELY SHUT TO TRY AND AVOID THE INEVITABLE WEATHER!!!
