Geocache Description:

Not the Road to the Falls.

When we first came to live here, this was the road we always took to go into the forest and up to Tarawera and the Falls. It took you through the Edgecumbe farm block, past the Gun Club, over Buddle's Creek and into the forest; From there we always stopped at an old Memorial to a baby born in the forest and left a piece of Manuka for good luck. Then it was to Army Corner and the Duffy home which was to become the old headquarters; then the road joined up to Tarawera road as we know it now.

This farm is owned by Ngati Tuwharetoa and leased by Tui Glen Farm. Access beyond here now is by permission only.
