SHORT DESCRIPTION
An easy at-home puzzle that, once solved, will take you for a short stroll in an out of the way corner of our beautiful Ruffey Lake Park.
There is a substantial playground here if you wanted to offer a bribe of playtime while you went off to play your own game. You will be finished before they are, promise. Toilets, water and BBQ on site.
The Puzzle
This is the third time I have stumbled across these same six kids playing with their money in a park. This time they were arguing about who had the most impressive people on their note collections. When I interrupted their squabbling, I noticed they had the newly minted Poly Propylene Polymer notes (this was 10 years ago!) and some shiny gold coins. I asked them “who had what” and they eagerly replied:
Sam. “Three sets of poets, Parliament house, and a mob of marsupials (TEN Kangaroos).”
Stanley. “Two ex-convicts, a gum flower, and five kangas.”
Steven. “Five knighted soldiers, two shipping magnates, and a koori old-fella”
Elaine. “A soprano, two founders of the Royal flying Dr Service, and a pearled Lizzy.”
Eleanor. “The father of Australian Federation, an Aboriginal elder, and a small mob of roos.”
Emma. “Twelve people who died in 1931, Three people born in 1864, Lizzy and another old-fella.”
Can you help them locate their lost treasure?
Thanks to stagetree for the inspiration and encouragement, the Cache WAS originally a money-box, but the ants loved it too much!
Cache overgrown and overtaken by nature, moved 2020
