This cache is located in a nice community park in the town of Potsdam.
This cache will take you to the town where my family and I grew up. Not much is here besides a post office. My brother and I use to ride our bikes about three miles every day during the summer to Potsdam to vist our Aunt and Uncle. We would then ride to this park and ride through the woods. I remember having church softball games and potluck dinners at this park. My parents were actually married in potsdam. So many good memories in such a small place. This cache is a way to share them with everybody. The cache is hidden in the woods of the community park just off the trail. GPS coordinates were jumping around but I believe I got a good lock on the site. The trails use to be small walking/biking paths but now people have been "Illegally" riding atvs through the woods and it is destroying the woods. I found the least traveled trail to hide the cache. Muggles shouldn't be to bad unless they have a softball game going on or the occasional towns person going for a walk in the park. Cache is a small camo bottle containg small items and log book, BYOP. The entrance to the park is a small gravel drive in between two house properties. The sign is a little faded and can be easily missed. No night cacheing. This cache will be one of many that will placed in the area that I grew up at.
