Geocache Description:

The Prairie Sunset Trail is a rail-trail conversion which will stretch west from Wichita to Garden Plain, a distance of about 16 miles. The abandoned rail line was previously used by the Central Kansas Railway, and sections of the line are now owned by the city of Wichita, Sedgwick County, and the non-profit Praire Travelers organization.

For more information on the trail - visit this link.

You are at the trailhead of the Prairie Sunset Trail , the western most point of the train in Garden Plain.  For most of you, this is a park-n-grab, just a few feet from decent parking and Section Line Rd.  If you are more adventurous, you are at the start or end of what will be a really nice day.  Heading east of here, there is good biking and hiking well past Goddard.  If that's not enough - at the time of posting this cache there were 65 active caches between here and 119th street where the trail becomes less developed.  Every mile or two where a road crosses the rail, there is room for safe parking.  There are benches regularly for a good sit, old & re-built bridges, and an awesome tunnel.  At this point you are 6-1/2 miles from Goddard City Park with bathrooms, tables, and fun; I know that, because the day I placed this cache I hiked to this point, then turned back to my car.

The cache is camoflauged taped peanut butter jar (cleaned to prevent any peanut allergies).  It is large enough for items and trinkets.  It may take a search to find it, but shouldn't be too tough.  Be respectful for the residents nearby - you are on trail property but fairly close to real homes and real muggles.
The trail is open from sunrise to sunset, please do not attempt this cache at night ... or else!!
