Farming the Flatlands Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions

An opportunity to see the farmland on the marsh.
The lowlands of Romney Marsh are dominated by numerous livestock and arable farms. The local breed of sheep from the area are world famous and have been exported to countries as far away as Australia since the 19th century. Bright yellow fields of Rapeseed are prominent on the marshes, as are potatoes and many other vegetables. Please make a note of what you see being farmed around the cache in your log. The cache itself is found on a public footpath that runs south east out of Lydd towards the airport. Parking is free and can be found close by to the trailhead which is listed below. BEWARE: There are deep drainage ditches along the route, particularly after the second way point. Please be very careful with children, pets and clumsy cachers near these.
