This cache has been archived.

tber1981: This cache is not needed to get the final. It keeps disappearing, so I guess it's time to say good-bye to this one.

Geocache Description:

I hope your bikes are in working order, because that is the intended mode of transportation for this series. Between Palmyra and Newark there are 12 colored bison tubes placed along the Erie Canal Trail. Each cache will count as a separate smiley, so be sure to sign each log. On six of the bison tubes there is a metal tag with a letter and a number. Make note of this information, as it will be needed to find the final in the series: “Erie Canalside Bike Ride: Grand Finale” (]visit link) . The caches containing this information will not be designated on the cache pages, so you must find all 12 micros to get the final. Please do not mention anything about getting needed information in your logs, or they will be deleted. Not knowing which caches have final coord information is part of the fun (for me anyway)! The series is about 17 miles round trip, assuming you start at the posted parking coordinates. The terrain rating on the caches will get higher the further they are from the parking coordinates, because this series is meant to be done in one trip. Happy pedaling!

Please replace this exactly as you found it. There is a special item there to keep it in place. Please use it.

This is now a cammoed bison tube.
