Geocache Description:

The geocache is located on a downed tree in the river best accessed by canoe or kayak.

The best approach is to go past the spot and then paddle upstream to the location. The current is strong running under the tree. The water is about thigh deep and shallower as you move away from the site. You can also reach it from shore as the tree is still anchored to the ground. You should have 2 people or a way to tie your boat to the tree. The cache, a small relish jar, is tethered to the tree. The nearest landing is where I-90 crosses the LaCrosse River. It is about 2 hours to the next landing at Holliday Heights to take out.
