Fast becoming known in geocaching circles as “The City That Never Sleeps’ the bustling metropolis of Tawa is also known by some as ‘The Capital of the Capital City”., and by others as “The New Zealand Bible Belt’, plus countless other names - some nice and pink and fluffy, and some really more hurtful than necessary.
This delightfully diverse suburban sprawl takes it’s name from it’s founding mother, ‘Lynn of Tawa’, who according to local folklore was washed up in a shoebox as an infant on the shores of Willowbank stream and proceeded to create the bustling location Tawa is today. As a tribute to Lynn I have placed a cache at one of her lasting legacy's, a lovely rose garden in the heart of Tawa.
And for those folk who are wondering who Lynn is, (or maybe trying hard to forget), a quick YouTube refresher;
It is sometimes a popular muggle spot so please be prepared to leave it until another day if they are sitting close by.
Please tuck away to hide it away from muggles. Thank you.
