exmachina: I am heartbroken to have to archive this hide featuring the great Joel Bergner's "Ganesha" mural. The business that's taken over the bodega Bergner's mural used to adorn is knocking out the walls for windows. A great loss, but such is the way of things.

Geocache Description:

The sixteenth in a series of caches I hope will bring attention to DC's wealth of "hidden" mural art.

Artist Joel Bergner states the 2012 mural "Ganesha" features the Hindu deity Ganesha, the "Remover of Obstacles," and deals with people's life obstacles that they create themselves by failing to release their personal baggage.

Bonus: Watch a time-lapse video of the artist creating the mural using spray paint, acrylic paint, stencil art, and mirrors.

As usual with these city hides, coords are approximate; once you see the mural you'll need to rely on your geosense more than your GPS. Please remember to replace just as found, and don't forget your writing utensil -- enjoy!
