I rolled a 12...did I hit?
This cache can be found in the northern end of this great park. Large and peaceful, Dellwood Park is a wonderful place to come and relax on a sunny afternoon or early evening. Frequented by folks with kids and dog-walkers, its a very large park with a lot of gigantic trees. It has a narrow stream running down the centre, surrounded by a band of naturally occuring flora.
When I was a teenager of 14 or so this park was part of the route I would take to our neighbourhood hang-out, The Comic Den. It was a small comic store in the nearby plaza (it is now an air conditioning sales and repair shop, the furthest shop east on the plaza - towards Cawthra Rd). We used to play Dungeons and Dragons in the basement from morning til late afternoon, then go traipsing thru the park, giving each other noogies, wet-willies or trying to push each other into the stream.
When the cache was placed it had a VERY large plastic D&D minature (plastic not lead or pewter), 2 small comic books, a D20 within a D20, and a Geocaching Tattoo.
Congrats to QTEE and scoldsteve for a co-FTF!!
