A Hidden World - Visiting Neverland Event Cache
Pprime (P`): Event closure. Awesome time had, thankyou everyone for enthusiastic participation and especially the vast majority who dressed for the occasion. Wonderful.
One micro geocoin unloved, I hope it wasn't left behind (it's not there now at least) - hopefully it'll pop up somewhere sometime soon.

As the worst of a Brisbane winter starts to recede, it is time to migrate north to be closer to the sun. Time for ... an EVENT - catch a few caches in the area during the day, and join us here (the best name for a park used by cachers) late afternoon for a meal as the sun sets.
This event is open to everyone and all new geocachers are encouraged to attend.
There is a free council-BBQ here which I will claim earlier in the day; there is plenty of space to spread out, and the kids will adore the playground: "A Hidden World", one of Brisbane's treasures.
The theme of the night is Neverland ... Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Smee, the crocodile, pirates, indians, mermaids, Lost Boys, Tinkerbell, Wendy, John and Michael. There is a reason for this. A new cache will be released after dark; a night cache that is true to the theme of the night.
Because night caches are best done in a group (or groups, if a lot of people come along), then First to Find will be awarded at my pleasure. To be eligible for recognition for a joint-FTF some member of your caching group (at least one) must be dressed in line with the theme in some manner. Grown men dressed as fairies will be frowned upon, however will be valid.
At about 6:30pm or so, the announcement will be made and we will be able to retire just down the road to commence the new search. Bring a torch.
If you've never done a night cache before, do not be scared of the dark, they are something you definitely need to experience.
NB: Whilst the event is very wheelchair friendly, the cache will not be (other than for 4WD wheelchairs). Strollers would perhaps still work, but it'll be after dark by then
