Várpalota bányászváros (Várpalota mining town)
In the 20th century Várpalota became a center for coal mining. Now the mines are closed, but the memories stay in the city. Statues, memorials and buildings are the mementoes of a great era.
A 20. században Várpalota vált a magyar szénkitermelés egyik fellevárává. A bányák azóta bezártak, de szobrok, emlékparkok, épületdíszek és épületek idézik a város felemelkedésének emlékeit.
Várpalota mining town is a 3 virtual and 1 regular point multi-cache.
The first point is the Jó Szerencsét (Good Luck) Community Centre. The name of the building - Good Luck (Jó szerencsét - in hungarian language) - is the traditional salute between hungarian miners. In the facade of the building we see the symbols of the miners.

At this point we found a table whitch countains the names of the town twinnigs of várpalota.
The first part of the bonus cache coordinates is the distance between Körmöcbánya and Várpalota. (you have to find the table with the name of Körmöcbánya and the write the distance. You will find it in kilometers)
Second point: (b) N 47° 12.008' E018° 08.511'
The town hall of várpalota. At this point we see the memorial of the mining of Várpalota.
The second part of the bonus coordinates is the number of the brown flagpoles in front of the town hall. (one digit numer)
Third point : (c) N 47° 11.624' E018° 08.030'
Memorial of the mining. In this palce we found a skip and a statue. At the statue we see the work phases of the mining.
The third part of the bonus coordinates is the number of the skip. It is located the side of the skip. (Not the one in the white circle). This is a three digit number.

Az első pont a Jó Szerencsét Művelődési Központ. A "jó szerencsét" a bányászok hagyományos köszöntése. Az épület homlokzatán láthatjuk a bányász szimbólumokat. A megadott ponton egy táblát találunk Várpalota testvérvárosaival.
A végláda koordinátájához az első részlet Körmöcbánya távolsága Várpalotától. Km-ben megadva találjuk meg a 3 számjegyű számot.

A második pont a várpalotai Városháza előtt található, ahol a palotai bányászat emlékére állított szobrot láthatjuk. A végládához szükséges második részletet a szobor környékén található barna színű zászlórudak száma adja (egyjegyű számjegy)

A harmadik ponton egy csillét, illetve egy fafaragást találunk, melyen a bányászat munkafázisait tekinthetjük meg. A végládához szükséges harmadik jelszórészlet a csille oldalán található szám (nem a fehér körbe írt 50-es). háromjegyű számot keress.
