Geocache Description:

A micro container located in a very special place where Dump once caught the mightiest of Pike from his beloved River Wye weighing in at 33lb and 12ozs

This micro-cache has been placed in and old Ent just a short walk off the road to Lydbrook. The location has good parking and access as it is regularly used by muggle anglers so there are no access issues. The cache is tucked up to the right behind some greenery. A 35mm canister with a picture of the pike Dump caught on the front. Containing just a log book.

Watch out for muggle anglers and beware that the field can get muddy at times and that there were loads of stingers around the final destination.

The Mighty Pike is a much maligned and mis-understood creature that has been persecuted by anglers until recent times where there worth and position in the food chain as the Apex predator has been recognised and respected. Those of us who fish for them treat them with the greatest of care and always return them back to the water unharmed and with minimal fuss after a quick weighing and a few photos.

This mighty pike was caught by a lucky few anglers and was named the 'Lydia' after her proximity to the nearby town. I had the pleasure of catching her and it stands as my greatest angling achievement.
